# Frequently Asked Questions
Have Questions? We're Here to Help.
Starting therapy or seeking professional support can come with questions. We've answered some of the most common ones below to help you better understand what to expect from Balance & Bloom Therapeutic Services.
Getting Started
How do I get started with therapy?
Getting started begins with reaching out to Balance & Bloom. We'll gather some basic information about what you're looking for and help determine whether our services are a good fit for your needs.
Do you offer virtual therapy?
Yes. Telehealth appointments allow you to attend therapy from a private location using a secure video platform. You must be physically located in a state where your treating clinician is licensed at the time of your appointment.
How long are therapy sessions?
Individual therapy sessions are generally 45–60 minutes, depending on the type of appointment, your treatment needs, and your insurance benefits when applicable.
How often will I attend therapy?
Many clients begin with weekly sessions, although frequency is based on your individual needs, treatment goals, clinical recommendations, and availability. As you progress, you and your therapist may discuss adjusting the frequency of sessions.
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
Our approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. Depending on your needs, treatment may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), psychoeducation, skills-based interventions, and other evidence-based approaches.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Protecting your privacy is an important part of the therapeutic relationship. Information shared during therapy is generally confidential.
There are certain legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality, including situations involving concerns for safety or circumstances in which disclosure is required by law. Your therapist will review confidentiality and its limitations with you before beginning treatment.
How will I know if we're a good fit?
Finding the right therapist is important. A strong therapeutic relationship should allow you to feel respected, supported, heard, and comfortable discussing difficult experiences.
If either you or your therapist determines that another provider or level of care would better meet your needs, appropriate recommendations or referrals may be discussed.
Insurance & Payment
Do you accept insurance?
Balance & Bloom may accept select insurance plans. Insurance participation can vary by clinician, service, and location.
Please contact us to confirm current insurance participation before scheduling.
Do you accept self-pay clients?
Yes. Self-pay options may be available for clients who do not have insurance, prefer not to use their insurance benefits, or have a plan with which Balance & Bloom does not participate.
How much does therapy cost?
Fees vary depending on the service provided and whether insurance or self-pay is used. You will receive information about applicable fees before beginning services.
For clients using insurance, your final responsibility may depend on your deductible, copayment, coinsurance, and other plan benefits.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that schedules change. Clients are asked to provide adequate notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a fee. Your specific cancellation policy will be reviewed before services begin.
Group Therapy
Do you offer group therapy?
Balance & Bloom plans to offer therapeutic groups focused on specific areas of emotional wellness and personal growth. Group availability, topics, schedules, and eligibility may vary throughout the year.
Do I have to be an individual therapy client to participate in a group?
Not necessarily. Eligibility will depend on the specific group. Some groups may be available to individuals who are not currently receiving individual therapy through Balance & Bloom.
Participants may be asked to complete a brief screening before joining to ensure the group is appropriate for their needs.
Clinical Supervision
Do you provide clinical supervision?
Yes. Balance & Bloom is developing clinical supervision opportunities for social work professionals seeking structured support as they strengthen their clinical skills and professional identity.
What can I expect from clinical supervision?
Clinical supervision may address case conceptualization, assessment, treatment planning, documentation, therapeutic interventions, ethics, professional boundaries, trauma-informed practice, risk assessment, professional development, and clinician self-awareness.
Our approach emphasizes support, education, accountability, and professional growth.
